Diet Planning

Jermen’s Weight Loss Clinic uses low carbohydrate diet planning that is titrated as patient’s health improves and the need for carbohydrates change while maintaining an isocaloric state (calculated using the Bodymetrix ultrasound machine). The right amount of carbohydrates consumed per day is not the same for everyone. The amount is titrated according to findings in the blood levels that check for diabetes, inflammation, insulin level, and other physical health factors. The health care provider will adjust the carbohydrates accordingly.

Teaching

One of the biggest issues with our health care is that there is a lack of proper teaching. Many people are looking for easy-to-understand explanations and clarifications about their health and what is causing their illnesses. Many people are already aware that obesity is a major risk factor for many chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, and many inflammatory factors. What we offer are ways to effectively lose weight while you understand the plan and become a proactive participant in your health improvement.

Medications

Prescription medications that have been effective in weight loss are offered at the clinic. The choice of the medication or a combination of medications to be used is evaluated by the FNP in accordance with patient’s current medical issues and physical health, while making sure that they are safe to take with the other prescription drugs a patient is using. Exercise Planning

The right type of exercise can be either cardio, weight training, or a combination of both that needs to be tailored according to the patient’s health and ability. Customized exercise plans are not only safe but also yield the best results in aiding weight loss and increasing metabolism and health. Doing one hour of cardio cannot be generalized for everyone as the way to a fit and strong body.
